My Story
From educator to instructional design, then into leadership.
I know how hard it is to translate strong work into hiring and promotion outcomes.
I started my career in education and later made the transition into instructional design. Like most career changers, I had to learn how to communicate my strengths in a way hiring teams could evaluate, building the right work samples, refining my interview stories, and getting comfortable presenting my thinking.
Once I landed the role, I moved quickly by delivering high-quality work, making decisions easy to trust, and building strong relationships with stakeholders. That path led to broader scope, repeated promotions, and eventually people leadership.
Portfolio to Promotion is where I bring that experience to educators, instructional designers, and people leaders who want a clear plan and stronger performance, not generic advice.
Based in San Diego, CA, I enjoy travel, golf, sailing, emerging technology, and studying Spanish outside of work.
